Bucko 'n Bullet
A "Boss Action" game where you play as (your) Dream Weavin' Spidermom, Amiya Aranha. Her Buckos have gotten a bit too hung up on power gained from a mysterious source, so now she has to peg them down a bit. The initial plan was to have three bosses to make it a proper Boss Rush. This may still happen in the future.
Make sure hardware acceleration is enabled in your browser. If the WebGL version feels laggy, an executable version is provided.
Made for Amiya Aranha's Bucko Jam 2024.
Controls
Left/Right Arrow Keys = Movement
A = Jump [Hold to control height]
S = Eat (Use on purple bullets to erase them and build special meter)
D = Attack / Spin Attack (during Spin jump)
F = Special Attack (AmiToxin)
Down Arrow + F = Special Heal
Left Shift [Hold] + Left/Right/No Arrow Keys = Web Grapple
Jump during a Web Grapple for a higher reaching Spin Jump
Web Grapple restores after 2 seconds, by Eating, or after taking damage

Well done! Thats a cool and tricky game, so many mechanics!
Something about this reminded me of "They Bleed Pixels," which is awesome. The movement and stuff mainly, and then to take that into a boss rush is so cool. Awesome job.

This is really fun and addictive. Reminds me of the kind of flash games I used to love back in the day.
God I got way too addicted to this. Thank you so much for your hard work, the choice of music and sfx are amazing and the sprites and assets you made are soo cute. It was extremely challenging but not in a frustrating way, the different mechanics really made sense once you play it enough times and the "eating a bucko midair" thing to reset the web to get past the harder to dodge attacks was a stroke of genius. Really something to be said for your sense of game design that you were able to come up with boss patterns that were challenging, fun, and possible to overcome (even though i cheated with amicute ehehehe)
